For the second year in a row, the True Companion Sled Dog Race has been selected as a Top Ten Winter Event by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. Publicity from this title is expected to draw record crowds on race day. The Chamber of Commerce will feature our January 24, 2004 event in the Vermont Winter Guide 2004. The Top Ten Winter Events are also features them in their Ski Vermont Map, numerous news releases and their Winter Press Kit. This race has been featured in an Across the Fence segment aired on public TV and Channel 3, as well as in a feature article in Vermont Life magazine's winter 2000 issue. GMDM also produces news releases and calendar listings for the race in a variety of media, general and dog sport oriented. Articles and ads appear in Team & Trail, Mushing and Sled Dog Central to name a few. Many area newspapers run articles and photos around our event.Always held on the last Saturday in January, our event has never been cancelled. We're known for great snow conditions and mandatory fun! With five feature races this year and numerous family fun activities all day, folks are assured of a good time for mushers, dogs and spectators alike.

GMDM collects cash sponsorships, goods and services from the regional business community. Cash is used as part of the purse for racing events.
